​Rebuilding a Kurt Mill Vise

Jaw Plates  installed and the first vise is ready for use.

Kurt web site has rebuild instructions as well as illustrated parts breakdown.

Kit installed on shaft, lubricated and assembled.  Shaft reinserted into vise with new thrust bearing, O ring and washers installed.

Disassembled the 2 vises and had the bases surface ground flat and true.  Kurt rebuild kits for both vises shown. 

The second vice installed on the Bridgeport mill with a KURT parallel spring system.  Works great!

Picked up a couple of Kurt 675 AngLock mill vices at auction.  After cleaning them up it was obvious they needed rebuilding.  Turns out the Kurt vise is infinitely rebuildable and everything you need is on the Kurt web site.
